Chamomile – The classic calmative herb. Chamomile imparts floral flavors and aromas reminiscent of apple for a crisp yet soothing experience, and a perfect cozy tea for autumn time sweater weather. Clinical trials show that it indeed improves sleep quality. It may help mild anxiety and stress in a pinch, too. The star of this blend, chamomile helps bring in a smooth landing at the end of any long day— even if your takeoff was a bit bumpy.
Lemon – A perfect citrusy liaison between chamomile and lemongrass. We include zesty lemon peel (plus natural lemon flavoring) to help make your taste buds sing—and then go right to sleep. Besides its trademark pleasant sourness, lemon has its own gentle sleep-supporting properties. In some studies, lemon aromas have been shown to allay anxiety, which can be very useful before heading to bed (and catching those elusive Zzz’s).
Lemongrass – This herb’s smoky lemon flavor brings some zing paired with peaceful warm vibes, all helping you reach slumber just a little bit quicker. Research supports that lemongrass may help you fall asleep faster (and takes the edge off anxiety and stress while you’re at it, too).
Licorice – Licorice root shares a sprinkling of unique sweetness to this sleep-forward blend. There’s strong evidence it may improve not only sleep quality, but sleep duration and length, too. Peppermint – A sprig of peppermint can freshen your breath, ease your pain, and help you keep your calm and your cool. Its trademark volatile oil, menthol, is a soothing vapor known for treating anxiety and insomnia in folk medicine. To help bring on some much-needed slumber, bring fresh cold water to a boil. Pour over 1-2 teaspoons of tea leaves for every 8 ounces of water. Steep 3-4 minutes and enjoy while still piping hot, but sip-able (or drinkable).
